Walter Gage Residence
We have arranged for special rates with the University of British Columbia for the duration of the conference. The rates are reasonable, the facilities are amazing and are conveniently located close to the conference. Those who desire other accommodation will need to consult travel sites to arrange their stay.

Gage Premium Single
Private bedroom with single bed in a four-bedroom shared apartment. Guests share a washroom, lounge with flat-panel TV, breakfast bar and kitchen (not equipped with dishes, cooking utensils, etc.). Complimentary coffee provided.
Gage Studio Suite
Suite with queen bed, private washroom, sitting area with telephone and flat-panel TV, WIFI, fully-equipped kitchen and complimentary coffee. Maximum 2 guests per suite.
Gage One-Bedroom Suite
Suite with king bed in bedroom, queen sofa bed in living room and private washroom. Features include air-conditioning, telephone, flat-panel TV, WIFI, fully-equipped kitchen and complimentary coffee.
Rate based on single or double occupancy; $25.00 charge, per night, applies for each additional guest, maximum 4 guests per suite (non-family members under the age of 19 are not permitted to share a bed).
West Coast Suites
Hotel suite with king bed in bedroom, queen sofa bed in living room and private washroom. Features include luxury linens and amenities, fully-equipped kitchen with microwave, flat-panel TV, complimentary coffee, air conditioning, WIFI, telephone and in-room safe.
Rate based on single or double occupancy; $25.00 charge, per night, applies for each additional guest, maximum 4 guests per suite (non-family members under the age of 19 will not be permitted to share a bed).
Housekeeping Service
Housekeeping Service for the Gage Premium Singles will include beds made upon arrival, two towels and soap provided, towels changed after one week, room cleaned after one week. Linens provided but not changed during program. Common area cleaned daily.
Housekeeping Service for the Gage Studio Suites, Gage One-Bedroom Suites and West Coast Suites will include beds made daily, towels changed daily, linens changed weekly.
The Client will be responsible for paying a labour charge for all extraordinary cleaning services that are required in relation to the cleaning of public areas, guest rooms, and any Meeting Rooms, Academic Meeting Spaces, Special Venues and/or facilities reserved by the Client, as a result of the actions of the Client or delegates, guests and others attending the Event. Such labour charges will be invoiced to the Client at $35/hour per UBC employee for a minimum of one hour.
Check-in and Check-out times
Check-in time is 3:00 p.m
Check-out time is 11:00 a.m.
Guests who remain in their rooms beyond the check-out time, without prior authorization from UBC, will be charged for an additional night.
